|Cultural Entrepreneurship as content of Art and Craft in the second year of a multicultural primary school.
|This abstract tells about a project concerning what happens and may happen within Entrepreneurship as content of Art and Craft in the second year of a multicultural primary school.
At Kolstad primary school in Trondheim, Norway, the second levelís 44 pupils, 40 % have a foreign background.
Five teachers, included mother tongue teacher, teacher of special needs and one assistant work together to make their pupils learn literacy and numeracy and arts as well. This happens in several school subjects using different practical activities and methods in the classroom and outdoor school. They also try to teach the pupils to be brave, creative persons who take care of each other and develop responsibility and good citizenship. This is some of the goals of entrepreneurship in school which the national curriculum stresses.
Through assignments, often inspired from Arts, the pupils work with challenges in creative processes making different expressions which have value for others, i.e. their parents and the neighborhood. In a cultural event every pupil will contribute through for instance theatre and analogue and digital picture presentations.
I get information and will make my practice narratives and final report from participating observations, interviews, starters and lessons together with the teachers and pupils.
