The authentic distress at failure in the social interaction between the teacher and pupil
Main topic of this presentation is the authentic distress at failure in the social interaction between the teacher and pupil (concepts of I and You), and the related conflict between the „personal“ – identifying tendency and the „professional“ – distancing tendency of the teacher’s role in the art education. Since there are more possibilities how to conduct the education, the practice is the problem. The teacher is responsible for his choice which should be reasonable. Necessarily, the reflection enters into the pedagogical practice. We need to describe and name the key problems in order to be able to solve the pedagogical situation. The main theoretical concepts of description of a pedagogical situation are investigated. We assume that the social interaction between the teacher and the pupil can become a subject matter in art education (visual culture).
