Visual arts-based educational research (V.ART.E.R) and visual arts
The two purposes of this paper are: a) to describe ‘Visual Arts-based Educational Research’ (V.ART.E.R), as a coherent group of methodological research techniques and strategies inside Arts-based Research, through three examples (an engraving by Goya, a photography by L. Hine and a film by Nicolas Philibert ) in order to clarify some of his methodological features; and b) to argue the interest of ‘Visual Arts-based Educational Research’ for Art Education Research as the proper place to develop this methodological research strategy in education.
